Last DigEm Steering Committee meeting in Athens

On Friday 27th of April 2012, DigEm partners will meet in Athens, in the facilities of coordinator DIMITRA ITD, for the last meeting of the partnership and the assessment of the three years of common creative work.
The partners will present the National Showcases and the dissemination activities of the project in each country, will finalize the project results and will discuss the actions for the sustainability of DigEm project after its official end.
The meeting will start at 9:00 and run until 17:00. After the meeting, all the partners will join a dinner at a restaurant with traditional Greek cuisine.
The last DigEm Steering Committee meeting is combined with the final event– presentation of DigEm project results and products – which will take place at the 4th Conference of Hellenic Adult Education Association (HAEA), entitled “Good Practices in Adult Education”, where will participate partners from UK, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Cyprus and Greece.

The innovative methodology for digital empowerment DigEm will be presented in the 4th Conference of Hellenic Adult Education Association (HAEA), entitled “Good Practices in Adult Education”, which will take place in OTE Academy in Marousi (Athens) from 26th until 28th April 2012.
The results and products of the European project DigEm, which is in the final stage, will be presented in the afternoon Friday, April 26th by mrs Vasiliki Anastasopoulou during the opening speech in the Main Auditorium of the Conference. In the noon of Saturday, April 27th will be implemented an experiential DigEm workshop under the mentoring of DigEm trainers Vasiliki Anastasopoulou and Andreas Almpanis. At the end of the workshop will be presented the experiences of the pilot implementation of DigEm methodology across Europe by the DigEm partners who will came from England, Spain, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Poland and Cyprus. 
Digital Empowerment (DigEm) is an innovative project of social empowerment through a creative approach to teaching information and communication technologies. Is a product of a LdV European program which coordinated by DIMITRA ITD and participate eight organizations from seven European countries: UK, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Cyprus and Greece.
It builds on and further develops the Digital Storytelling methodology, as each trainee who participates in a DigEm workshop creates, through new technologies, a personal two minutes digital story, using creative techniques of Media such as, photography, video, music, recordings, theatrical storytelling, editing, etc. The experiential approach of adult education is vital for all the phases of the workshop, developing in best possible way the social, literary, narrative and digital skills of trainees.

Proyección de videos DigEm en España

El socio espanol de DigEm, Documenta,  junto con el Ayuntamiento de Santander, han proyectado sus videos en el canal de television del Servicio de Transportes Municipales de Santander. 
 
El Servicio de Transportes Municipales de Santander cuenta con un canal de television propio que ofrece programas culturales, noticias de la ciudad, actividades municipales, historia, curiosidades, informacion sobre asociaciones, etc. 
 
Dos de los videos hechos por participantes de los talleres DigEm en Santander se muestran en este canal de television desde febrero de 2012 hasta agosto del mismo ano. Ademas, tambien se proporciona informacion del proyecto y de los socios, asi como de los talleres impartidos en Espana. 
 
La ciudad cuenta con 23 lineas de autobuses que funcionan desde las siete de la manana hasta las once de la noche y la television esta funcionando continuamente; por ello, el numero estimado de veces que se presentara el video en estos meses es 340. 
 
Teniendo en cuenta esto, el impacto sera muy grande y la proyeccion sera vista por estudiantes, empleados, desempleados asi como pensionistas.
